Supporting the Community

This financial year Brighton RSL Club has provided funds in excess of $58,000 to support community services and projects.  The Club has a tradition of supporting Legacy and Calvary Health Care in recognition of the valuable services they provide to the community. This year the Club donated $11,000 and $9,000 respectively to these two outstanding organisations. Our improved trading performance over the past year also meant the Club for the first time was able to donate $2,000 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW and $3,259 to Alzheimers Australia NSW.

The Brighton Nippers program, under the guidance of Peter Daley, is proving to be a huge success with numbers growing each year. The positive impact it is having on our younger generation is something that the Brighton RSL Club is proud to be associated with and support. This year the Club donated $3,000 to assist the Brighton Nippers.

"Brighton RSL is our major sponsor. Thanks to the Club's support, children from as far as Parramatta and from different cultures meet every weekend to build on their health, fitness and water skills, and importantly, to have a whole lot of fun! "

"With the club's help, we care for 2,650 widows, 45 people with disabilities and children of Australian Defence Force members who have lost their lives in service."
