Brighton Newsletter Summer 2009

It’s incredible to think that Christmas is almost upon us. 2009 has been a positive year for the Club. Despite the economic downturn our club has continued to prosper.
The development of new outdoor smoking areas has helped to counter the impact of the smoking laws introduced in 2007 and provided alternative spaces for our members to enjoy. During the year we have hosted some wonderful bands in the club. This is set to continue into the new year with scheduled entertainment in the Members’ Lounge from Thursday night through to Saturday night as well as Karaoke every Sunday afternoon. Of course we also have some fabulous special events lined up, a night of karaoke and partying for New Years Eve and a wonderful evening of romance in the Bayview Terrace Restaurant on Valentines Day – Sunday 14th February.
As we head in to the hottest months of the year, the Club’s facilities are a great place to retreat. Who can resist a relaxing meal upstairs in the Bayview Terrace Restaurant or a cool drink in air-conditioned comfort in the Members Lounge at the end of a long hot day on the beach or at work?
Alfred, our caterer in the Bayview Terrace Restaurant, has introduced some great set priced meal deals during week nights throughout January, all of which represent excellent value and make it so much more affordable to bring the entire family out to dinner. Of course there are special kids’ meals available as well.
Membership fees for Brighton RSL are due by 31/1/10 and this year, everyone who becomes a member or renews their membership between 1 December 2009 and 31 January 2010 will go into the draw to win your choice of an amazing DELL laptop computer or a 42” Panasonic plasma television.
Next time you’re in the Club, I urge you to renew your membership so that you can take advantage of this great opportunity – as well as the many other benefits you get from being part of Brighton RSL!
See you around the Club.![]()
