Brighton Newsletter Autumn 2009

At Brighton RSL we’re moving into Autumn, cranking up the temperature and putting together some great new entertainment and promotions to keep you enthused over the coming cooler months.

Of course our most important event over the next few months is Anzac Day on Saturday 25th April. This year we will be holding our ANZAC Day service at 6am in front of the memorial. A hot breakfast will be served upstairs in the Endeavour and First Fleet Function Rooms from 7.30am and the day will continue with raffles in the Members’ Lounge from midday and entertainment throughout the evening. I invite all Members to attend this important service and to stay on for a great day of entertainment and social activity.

Elsewhere in the Club, there is plenty to get you involved. Our sub clubs continue to thrive with snooker, bowls, fishing and golf all available for your enjoyment. Each of our sub clubs welcomes experienced and inexperienced players – so don’t be shy about joining in.

If you haven’t enjoyed a meal at the Bayview Terrace Restaurant recently, then now is the time to do so. The restaurant has a fantastic selection of both Australian and Chinese dishes, all at very reasonable prices. Our caterer, Alfred, is well known for his culinary skills and the very fresh ingredients he uses in every meal – particularly the seafood! Alfred has banquets, individual dishes and a great selection of tempting meals for children.

With so much going on, it’s hard to think of a better place to spend your time than in your Club.
